Destinations Covered: Leh, Monasteries, Sham Valley, Pangong Lake & Nubra Valley

Day 01: Arrive Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize. Evening Visit to Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Leh (Full Day Excursion)

Post breakfast we drive towards Kargil road and start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame near Leh is worth a visit for every citizen. It is a glorious museum constructed by Indian army, Kali Mata Temple, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up & further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar river 4 km before Nimmu village. And Visit to Basgo a certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. After visiting above places we drive back to Hotel for Overnight Stay.

Day 03: Leh to Pangong Lake (06 hours approx.)

After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake enroute visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh & Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and carryon further towards Pangong through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at Pangong Resort or Camp Watermark on the shore of Lake.

Day 04: Pangong Lake to Leh (06 hours approx.)

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to Leh and check in at our hotel for Overnight.

Day 05: Leh to Nubra Valley (125 Kms / aprx. 06 hrs)

After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive Sumur or Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore beautiful village of Sumur & Hunder with a Visit to Diskit Monastery. Overnight stay at Camp.

Day 06: Nubra Valley to Leh

After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh by same route over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Depart Leh (Fly Out)

Tour concludes. Mountain Trails thank you for your patronage and ensure a punctual transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination.

Ladakh

Destinations Covered: Leh, Monasteries, Sham Valley, Dha Hanu, Tsomoriri Lake,Pangong Lake & Nubra Valley

Day 01: Arrive Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize. Evening Visit to Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Leh (Excursion to Monasteries)

Post breakfast we visit Spituk monastery, Built in 15th century during the reign of Grags bum-lde, these new Gelug-pa monastery was built like fortress on the summit of crags and also visit Hall of Fame near Leh is worth a visit for every citizen. It is a glorious museum constructed by Indian army. Post lunch we take a sightseeing tour visiting Sankar Gompa, located at a distance of approximately 3 km from the town of Leh, Leh Palace is one of the most captivating architectural ruins that attract the attention of the tourists almost immediately with its majestic

setting at the edge of the Namgyal hill and overlooking the town and at once looks like a reminiscent of Lhasa’s Potala Palace.

Day 03: Leh to Uleytokpo

Post Breakfast we drive towards Leh – Kargil highway to Lamayuru enroute visiting Kali Mata Temple, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. Then we drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh’s most loved monastery. After visiting above monasteries we drive to Uleytokpo at our Campsite for overnight stay.

DAY 04: Uleytokpo – Dha Hanu

Post breakfast we check out from the camp and drive to Dha Hanu enroute visiting Lamayuru, Belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat). Dha-Hanu is situated at an altitude of 10000 ft. It is the Land of the “Drok-Pa “an Indo Aryan race. Only two villages Dha & Biama are open for tourists. Their cultural and religious practices are totally different from the rest of stay at the Guest house / tented accommodation.

Day 05: Dha Hanu   Leh

After breakfast we check out from the Guest House / Camp and drive back to Leh enroute visiting Ridzong, Ridzong Gompa is known as the paradise for Meditation. Guru Padma Sambhava is believed to editated here for years. Upon arrival in Leh Check in at the Hotel for Overnight.

Day 06: Leh – Chumathang – Tsomoriri (240 kms)

Post breakfast we check out from Hotel and Drive to Tsomoriri enroute stop at Chumathang, famous for medical hot spring and people visit to this place for medical bath. After a short halt drive to Tsomoriri, A beautiful mountain bounded expanse of water, around 240 Kms. from Leh in Rupsho Valley. The Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. Upon arrival we check in at our camp for two nights.

Day 07: Tsomoriri (Local Excursion)

In the morning visit Korzok village with its houses and its gompa appearing like a mirage. The few barley fields at Korzok must be among the highest cultivation in the world. In the afternoon visit around the Lake. Overnight at the camp.

Day 08: Tsomoriri   Leh (Via Tanglangla)

Post breakfast we check out from the Camp and proceed towards Tsokar Lake, After visiting the Tsokar Lake we drive towards Leh enroute Stoping at Tanglangla pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world at 5350 m.

Day 09: Leh to Pangong Lake (06 hours approx.)

After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). In second half of the day enjoy a visit to DISKIT MONASTERY perched on the rock overhanging the steam which is the source of the energy used by the mills. The monastery is rich, full of tangkas (skill paintings) and above all of magnificent giant statues, effigies of the Buddha and old mural paintings in which can be noted a multitude of influences. Overnight at the Camp.

Day 13: Nubra Valley to Leh

After your breakfast at the camp we drive to Leh by same route over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Depart Leh (Fly Out)
